About smbuild
smbuild is a fix service for online stores and small businesses. We find what stops shoppers, Google and AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) from choosing a site, ship the fixes with a person reviewing each one, and measure which fixes worked.
Who runs it
smbuild was founded by Nathan Tarasiuk, who builds the product and reviews the fixes it ships. Questions go to him directly at hello@trysmbuild.com.
Who it’s for
- Online stores that want product pages Google, AI shopping answers and agents can read and trust.
- Local and service businesses that want to show up when someone asks Google or an AI assistant for a recommendation.
- Agencies that pitch and serve small-business clients and want a scan, a fix list and proof of results they can share.
How we work
- Every check has a source and a date. Each finding names the guideline or study behind it (for example Google’s Search Central docs or Baymard’s checkout research) and when we checked it.
- Not measured means not measured. If we can’t collect a signal, we say so. We never score it as zero or guess.
- A person reviews every fix before it ships. Each fix carries the metric it should move, how long we’ll measure it, and when we’d roll it back.
- Results are measured against pages you didn’t change. We compare fixed pages to matched control pages, so a site-wide traffic swing isn’t counted as a win.
- No self-ranked “best of” lists. When we write comparison content, it compares options honestly; we don’t rank ourselves first.
What we check
Technical SEO and indexing, eligibility for Google’s AI Overviews, how often AI assistants mention and cite a site, whether AI crawlers and agents can read it, product-page and checkout basics for stores, and speed on phones. The full list is on the home page.
